HMB 1000 is pure beta-hydroxy-beta-methylbutyrate in tablet form — a leucine metabolite with an anti-catabolic effect.

What HMB actually does

Reduces muscle protein breakdown after training. That is, it doesn't accelerate synthesis as much as it protects already built muscle from breaking down. Particularly valuable in specific situations.
