Which martial arts does this category cover?

At SportZone, you'll find equipment for all major disciplines: boxing, Muay Thai, kickboxing, MMA (mixed martial arts), BJJ (Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu), judo, karate, and grappling. Each discipline has specific equipment requirements — for example, MMA uses thin, open-fingered gloves of 4-7 oz, while boxing requires dense gloves of 10-16 oz.

MMA Glove Size — How to Choose?

• 4 oz — for competitive MMA (UFC standard).
• 6-7 oz — for sparring and intense training.
• S/M/L/XL — measure the circumference of your palm without the thumb: up to 18 cm = S, 18-20 cm = M, 20-22 cm = L, over 22 cm = XL.

For grappling and BJJ without strikes, grappling gloves with minimal padding can be used – primarily for knuckle protection during no-gi training.

BJJ and Judo Kimono — What's the Difference?

A BJJ kimono (gi) is tighter, with shorter sleeves and pant legs, as grips on them are regulated in the rules. A judo kimono (judogi) is wider and heavier, optimized for grips and throws. For beginners, we recommend a BJJ gi A1-A4 in white or blue, weighing 350-550 GSM. For children — kids' sizes M0-M4.

Maintaining Your Martial Arts Equipment

• Gloves — air them out open after each training session; use deodorant spray or sachets with silver ions.
• Kimono — wash at 30 °C, without fabric softener, dry in the shade to maintain its shape.
• Mouthguards — rinse with cold water after use; never with hot water (it deforms).
• Punching bags — store in a dry place; leather bags should be treated with balm 1-2 times a year.

For Women and Children in Martial Arts
